This set is interesting in that it uses a mold that is very close to the Mold RSP 10 (seen on the bottom of page 35 in Marples' R.S. Prussia: The Art Nouveau Years). It bears the gold Royal Vienna mark and features a dogwood décor and luster pale green glaze. It is a delicate and quite elegant set, with the interesting handles and flower shaped base. Gold foliage is hand painted around the stenciled white dogwood flowers.
SIZE: The sugar bowl measures about 5 1/2" to the top of the finial. From handle to handle, it measures about 6 1/4". The base has a diameter of 2 7/8" while the diameter at the top rim is about 3 1/8". The creamer is 4 1/4" high, and measures 4 3/4" from spout to handle. Diameter at the base is 2 3/8".
CONDITION: Condition of both pieces is very good. There are no cracks or chips. There are a few very small spots where glaze is missing. The gold trim and on the handles is somewhat worn. The gold foliage is still intact.
This is a beautiful set; its understated elegance will please any collector.
