K. T. & K. Heart Design White on White Ironstone LARGE Pitcher

This is one of my very favorite styles of white ironstone pitchers, and in the past I have sold entire sets of different sizes. The great thing about this style is that you can find ones with quite similar pattern, made by different makers, and they still make a great grouping. Of course, you can do that with lots of white ironstone pitchers and jugs, but I love the gracefulness of this pattern. Featured in this listing is the LARGER of the two pictured.

This large pitcher is just over 9"...probably 9 1/8" to the top of the handle, and it measures app. 9 1/2" across the top from the spout to the outside of the handle. Sparkly white on the outside other than the minimal wear on the base from being set for so long, there are no chips cracks or breaks, only some glaze pops or marks that you can see on the inside bottom.

This white on white ironstone pitcher has the wonderful raised large heart design on both sides, and the ruffled edge at the top. It also has a thumb rest at the top of the handle. This one is marked K. T. & K...S-V China. I believe that stands for Knowles, Taylor and Knowles Semi-Vitreous. It is just a wonderful piece of ironstone to add to your collection of white pitchers, or perhaps start a new collection! In the first picture, you can see a very similar pitcher in a smaller size that is easily mixed with this one. It has a different potter, but the same great look! It is from my own collection and has a spot in my home, but if you are interested in both, I can see if I can find a replacement for it where it is on display.
