An early English Tea Canister (Caddy), with strong pearlware glaze, molded ribbed decoration and flowers and swags. The edges of this canister, along with the molded flowers are highlighted in blue, giving it very much the appearance of blue Leeds. 4 5/8" high and 3 ½" x 2 ½" across the shoulders. Exceptional condition: there are no chips, cracks, lines, and as far as I can tell, there is only a restored small chip in the lip of the mouth (very hard to see). The molded ribs and the flowers and swags are extremely crisp, and the canister itself is thickly potted.
