You are buying a pair.
Over 120 years old & in fabulous shape!! These fine antique porcelain oyster plates bear the impressed word "REGISTRIERT" which is German for "registered" (too faint to photograph successfully). Odd then that the very same mold is attributed to Haviland & Co, Limoges, France, on page 127 of Karsnitz. In addition one of the plates here has the number 162 painted on the reverse. The 6 wells are outlined in dark brown on the snow white background. No wear from stacking only some to the gilded rims. 8.25" (21 cm)
Please see a similar larger pair I have also listed by typing Oyster Plate in the search above. Thank you.
