Taken over 135 years ago! This gorgeous Yale Albumen photograph is of the highest technical & artistic quality. It was taken in the studio of G.W. Pach on 841 Broadway, NY, as stated on the margin. It appears to be an image taken outside but on closer study it becomes obvious that the grass in the front is fake and "The Walk" background just a backdrop. The tonal range is superb as is the focus and lighting. The sitters hired the best. They were obviously men of wealth, some not looking all that trustworthy mind you. Too bad they were not identified. I'm sure they all went on to illustrious carriers. I'm attaching a photo taken at the same time of the famous "Yale Walk". The viewer will recognize it as the backdrop in the group shot. It is not included.
The condition is immaculate. No flaws that I can detect. The mount board is pristine only slightly wavy, the camera distorted it somewhat. Unframed. Overall size 14" x 11" ......... the photo measures 9" x 6.75"
