Antique Minton Art Pottery Plate Date Code for 1881, Artist Signed

To view more Art Pottery or Minton I have listed, please type the appropriate word into the SEARCH above.

This is actually is a very shallow bowl at 1.25" high. The diameter is 10". This is one in a series Minton created at the turn of the 19th century. Stunning! This plate has raised blossoms, a crackle effect throughout and is of course totally hand-painted. Note the Company Artist's name on the lower left, L.Arnold. I've placed this plate on a page spread of Joan Jones' famous book: "Minton, the first 200 years". There is a rim repair at the upper right. Please see close up scan provided. Other than that the plate has no flaws.
