Piatnik “Kasino-Pikett” Playing Cards, Skat Deck, Viennese Large Crown Pattern, w/ Wrapper, c.1919-1924

Beautiful set of cards made by Piatnik c.1919-1924, featuring court cards in the Viennese Large Crown Pattern ("Wiener-Bild"). The deck is a skat deck, complete at 32 cards (Ace, and 7 through King), plus a card that is blank on both sides. The cards are French suited, without indices and with rounded corners; they are large, measuring 110mm by 66mm. They come in the original wrapper which still has a U.S. tax stamp in addition to the Austrian stamp on the Ace of Hearts.

The cards are in perfect condition. The wrapper is in no better than good condition – more or less complete, but with tears, and vulnerable to further damage.

There is another set of these cards for sale in this shop that is still in the wrapper (T00002804)
