Excellent and complete "Nuzoo Party Game," published c.1930 by E.T.W. Dennis & Sons. Ltd. of London as part of its "Dainty Series," No. G633 in that series. The "Dainty Series" began as a series of postcards, but eventually came to include a series of party games, including "Nuzoo." The Rules are simple:
"Each of the composite Animals is made up of Six parts, Head, Fore-legs, Back, Underbody, Hind-legs, and Tail, each part being a different Animal.
"The cards having been placed in prominent positions around the room, the Competitors are asked to write down on the back of this sheet the Names of the different animals used in the make-up of each.
"The Winner of the Competition is the one giving the largest number of correct answers."
The game consists of 12 composite animal cards – beautifully chromolithographed – and 12 folded cards, each stating the rules and advertising other "Dainty Series" games, but primarily used for noting the six animal parts that can be found in each composite animal card. In addition, there is a single card that contains a key to the right answers, also with advertising for other "Dainty Series" games. The 12 folded cards are contained in a wrapper, itself beautifully chromolithographed. The composite animal cards are large, measuring 134mm x86mm. The game is in its original box.
The game is unused and all components are in excellent condition. The box has some soiling and evidence of age and wear, including pencil notation, but it is structurally very sound, without tears or abrasions anywhere.
