Gorgeous deck of French-suited Skat cards published by Paul Parey c.1976, the Hamburg magazine publisher, for "Wild und hund" magazine, titled "Das Jaegerkartenspiel" ("Hunter Cards"), featuring wonderful hunting illustrations on the Aces and court cards by noted German book illustrator, Walter Niedl. The World Web Playing Card Museum (WWPCM #03150) indicates that the cards were made by ASS for Parey, but frankly I question the attribution. The cards are sumptuous, with printing that shines, unlike the work of the larger card makers in the 1970s.
The deck is a skat deck with 32 cards. I have previously sold a set of these cards with an insert card announcing the deck, but it is not present in this deck. The cards are slightly large bridge size, measuring 91mm x 59mm, and are housed in a plastic box that may (or may not) be original.
The cards are "as new"; the box is slightly clouded in places, but otherwise without issues.
