AG Muller "Basler Fasnachtskarten 1990" Playing Cards, Fifo Stricker and Matthias Zweifel Designs, c.1990
Wikepedia has this to say about the Carnival:
"The Carnival of Basel (German: Basler Fasnacht) is the biggest carnival in Switzerland and takes place annually between February and March in Basel. It has recently been listed as one of the top fifty local festivities in Europe.
"The Basler Fasnacht starts on the Monday after Ash Wednesday at precisely 4:00am with the so-called Morgestraich (see below). The carnival lasts for exactly 72 hours and therefore ends on Thursday morning at 4:00am. During this time the old town of Basel is ruled by the Fasnächtler (the participants), where they run loose in the streets and restaurants. Basler Fasnacht is often referred to as "die drey scheenschte Dääg" (the three most beautiful days)."
The deck has 52 cards, plus 3 Jokers. The cards are bridge size measuring 89mm x 57mm and come in the original box.
As noted the cards are mint and sealed, and the box is "as new" or very nearly so.
