American Playing Card Company (Kalamazoo) “Golf” Playing Cards (52/52, No Joker), c.1895

Excellent deck of “Golf” playing cards, but without its Joker, made by American Playing Card Company of Kalamazoo, one of the Longley companies, c.1895, with terrific backs. As Dawson/Hochman state in the Encyclopedia: “Even if the box and Joker are missing, the backs, of which there were many, will identify this brand.”

As noted, the deck has 52 cards, but no joker. The cards are wide, measuring 89mm x 64mm. There is no box.

The deck is very clean and in excellent used condition, except there is a nibble at one corner of the Ace of Spades. The cards shown are representative of the condition of the deck as a whole.
