Two decks of the series of 8 delightful political cartoon decks published by ASS during the decade from 1983-1993, featuring the terrific caricatures of political leaders by Bubec (artist Lutz Backes). One of the decks has a copyright of 1990 on the box, and after the name of the maker says, “West Germany.” The other deck is dated at the World Web Playing Card Museum to 1991, and below the name of the maker says simply, “Germany.” These decks are also shown at the Nigel’s Playing Cards website.

The deck from 1990 has been opened but is in mint condition. It has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus a title card announcing the deck. There are caricatures on the Jokers, Aces and court cards. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 58mm, and come in the original box. The box is “as new.”

The deck from 1991 is mint and sealed. I assume that it has the same number of cards – 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus a title card announcing the deck – with caricatures as in the 1990 deck. The cards are the same size – 89mm x 58mm – and this deck is likewise in the original box. The box of this deck is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of wear.
