This Art Nouveau design was first introduced around 1906. This very collectible but discontinued pattern was made by Noritake from 1906-1992. This classic pattern features a rich relief of heavy gilded gold banding of Christmas ornaments, flowers, and scrolls on a cream (creme yellow) and white band on a bone china white porcelain background. There is a raised beaded decoration around the rim and in the design. JUST MAGNIFICENT!! The Christmas Ball pattern, as it is known by its many collectors, is extremely sought after and highly collectible.
This small salt dish was made by Noritake. It is fully marked on the back with the green mark. The dish is about 6 3/4 inches across from handle tip to handle tip. There are no chips or cracks, but there is some noticeable wear to the gold.
