c1850 Enamel on Glass French Vase, Hand Blown & Painted

A gorgeous and large amber glass vase, sure to be the gem of any collection. This hand blown and hand enameled French piece dates to the mid 19th century. The glass was perfectly blown into a symmetric, heart-like shape. The raised enamel designs were hand painted by the artist, with much attention paid to both the aesthetic appeal and texture. The main subject is an allegorical scene, evoking a sense of Roman classicism. The piece is accented with gilt embellishments. The glass has a rich, deep amber color. Truly one of a kind.

Condition: Great condition. One small chip to the base's rim. Otherwise, no damages or repairs with only minimal wear to the gilding. The enamel is in perfect condition.

Measurements: 15 in high x 7.5 in wide x 5.5 in deep (38 cm x 19 cm x 14 cm)
