c1850 Relief Pressed Tortoiseshell Calling Card Case

A very unique tortoiseshell veneered card case, dating to mid 19th century England. Both sides have shell panels with intricate geometric designs created by soaking and steam-pressing the tortoiseshell. Measurements: 3 1/2 in x 2 1/4 in (8.75 cm x 5.5 cm)
