19c French Blue Opaline Glass Hand-Blown Vase
A very uniquely shaped French opaline vase, dating to the mid 19th century. The piece has a globular base and a long, fluted neck. The vase was entirely hand blown from one piece of molten glass, in one shot (no seams in sight). There are a few very tiny bubbles on the surface of one side - natural air bubbles that are often found in hand made glass of this type. The glass has a high sheen and is of the most desirable rich powder blue. The tone is even and translucent. This spectacular vase glows in the light! An original 19th century French antique, not a modern repro!
Condition: Excellent condition with no damages or repairs!
Measurements: 9.5 in tall x 5 in wide (24 cm x 13 cm)
