I went into a store yesterday and was amazed to find Halloween and Thanksgiving “stuff” already on display! Like it or not, autumn here and I’m still in summer mode. I’ve designed a spectacular display of fall colors—orange, rust, copper, gold, and dark brown in a six strand necklace. I used rough cut and sanded natural carnelian nuggets, polished hessonite garnet chips, some copperish/burgundy fresh water potato pearls and two strands of dark penshell heishi. I jazzed up the Thai Karen silver pendant to include charms consisting of the same beads from the necklace plus two black ebony wooden disks. Pretty cool, huh? The shortest strand is almost 16 inches and the longest is 17. I’ve added some sterling silver chain for a length up 20 inches and it closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp. The pendant hangs 3 inches from the center of the longest strand.
