Prakeuam & Thai Karen Silver, Bayong Wood & Lapis Lazuli Earrings
The wonderful Sinarin silver bead is of a style known as prakeuam and is completely handmade by descendants of Cambodian silver and gold smiths that immigrated to Thailand several hundred years ago. The silver is 95% silver—a higher silver content than sterling which is hammered into a thin sheet, cut to the desired shape, inscribed and then hand formed around a tree resin taken from pine trees. Finally, the beads are oxidized to darken the pattern.
There earrings have an exotic flair and sway 3 inches below sterling silver ear wires.
All jewelry will arrive at your door step in a gift box. Thank you for visiting my "little shop of treasures" and I hope you come back soon!
