Bisque Head Bye-Lo Baby

The Bye-Lo baby copyrighted by Grace Storey Putnum and produced by countless German doll makers in the 1920's. This doll was one of the first "realistic" infant dolls produced in the 1920's and they were popular then as they are now. Bisque headed Bye-Lo with unusual brown glass sleep eyes with intact wax and smooth mechanism. This doll is in wonderful condition with composition hands than feel/appear to be repainted. The body is cloth with typical curved baby legs and their is a crier inside that is no longer working. Antique knitted stockings. Long white christening gown with long slip and layers of underclothing-added throughout the years! Her lace bonnet is wonderful silk ivory tulle with cuffing and pale pink silk lining...I have been tempted many times to "steal it" from her-but it will follow her to your home! Bye-Lo 's are a must have for every collector and this one is a nice example at an affordable price.

13 inches long with 33cm head circumference.
