Sweet 14K Solid Gold Emerald Pearl Cat Pin

Come out of the closet with this fabulous solid gold cat pin. As Shakespeare said, you'll wear your heart on your sleeve (or should I say on your sweater or collar) when you've got this fabulous feline on!

The cat is made from 14K solid gold and it measures 1&1/8" tall by about 7/8" across. Real emeralds are set as the eyes, positioned just above white gold whiskers. A real Akoya pearl sits just inside the furry friend's outlined body. The cultured pearl measures 6 mm across and it is beautiful and white, with excellent lustre and good iridescence.

I would date this piece to the 1970-1980 judging by the gold texturing. Weight is 5.8 grams. Fastens with a locking spring ring clasp.

No problems to report, just the slightest signs of wear. I couldn't find a mark but the gold tests as 14K.
