Vintage early 1930s ivory satin wedding or evening shoes feature a style that crosses the Mary Jane with the D'Orsay: Arch-revealing sides, Cuban heels, and slender straps through delicate, paste-set buckles. Both the intricately pleated toes and the heels have discreet cut outs, and the shoe is entirely lined in peach leather, with a brown leather sole.
The shoes, which a local Waltham, MA woman wore to her wedding over eighty years ago, are embossed "Hamilton & Co., New Haven Conn" on the right sockliner only.
The marked size is an 8AAA; exact measurement is 10" from heel to toe inside the shoe and 2.75" across the tread (widest part of the bottom of the shoe), which is roughly equivalent to a modern 7.5N.
Excellent condition; very gently worn with a speck on the right toe, too faint for my camera to pick up, and faint, darkish mark to the right heel (see photos #6 & 7).
