Sparkly vintage 50s demi-parure comprised of a goldtone bow brooch and matching clipback earrings dazzles with the smoky quartz-colored rhinestones made so popular by Weiss (who coined the term “Black Diamonds” to describe rhinestone jewelry in this color).
The design begins with graceful curves of prong-set chatons in three sizes (accented by strategically placed pear-cut stones), and enhances those curves with spray-like trios of wires, each tipped in one baguette, one navette, and one pear-cut smoke-grey rhinestone.
Brooch measures 2 ¾” across; earrings are a whopping 2” high. No maker’s mark, but this outstanding set displays high end construction and exceptionally bright, sparkling stones. Excellent condition.
