Vintage 1940s L.Pinkos Black Wool Waistcoat Vest w/Braid Trim XS/S
Vintage post-WWII black wool waistcoat vest with deep cut, squared satin revers has braid trim in front, on the pockets and around the button placket and hem. It closes with four black plastic buttons and has a black satin lining and back; lining appears to be rayon, while the revers and back are both of silk.

The tailor's label affixed inside the martingale reads "L. Pinkos, Boston, Mass." and is filled in with the customer's name, G.C.McMichaels, as well as the date he picked up his waistcoat (likely along with a suit): January, 1946. Established in 1895, L. Pinkos advertised in the early 20th century as a "College Tailor" and catered to Harvard and MIT.
Measuring chest 36", front length 23", and back length 21", this waistcoat or vest is in excellent condition with no flaws to note.
