Antique 800 Silver Trinket Box - "Musical Cherubs" - Germany
Of all the trinket boxes that have passed through my hands this is the most charming - the top has
5 cherubs - one is the musical director holding a baton, 2 are singing and 2 are playing instruments. I see wings on a couple of these cuties. The oval top has a beaded border. Sides have a lovely flowing flower design. Light gold wash inside.

Size - approx. 2-1/4" by 1-3/4" by 3/4" high.
Marked: German hallmark 800. Total weight - 46.3gr
Lovely patina. No dents or dings. The top has a very slight "yawn" or "smile" on one side. Barely noticeable. The hinge could be tweaked so it lays perfectly even but I don't trust myself to do it.
