Old Mexican Tonala FACE Pottery Bank

I have collected all things old and Mexican for a very long time. This is one of my favorite pieces and it took years to find. Mexican pottery is a low fire pottery so much of it hasn't survived.

The weird and wonderful face bank measures about 6-3/4" high and 6" wide. The top has a small handle and a slit for money.

The curly black hair has minor paint - what you want to see in an old piece. I love the wacky eyes, chubby cheeks, pointy chin with goatee. Pics look like a "mug shot".

No cracks or chips. Excellent condition.
