Sterling Engraved Shot Glass/Thimble - "Only A Thimble Full"

I adore the whimsy of this old sterling shot glass disguised as a huge thimble. It has a tight honey comb pattern even on the bottom. In an old style engraving it reads "Only A Thimble Full". I have seen others but none this weight or detailed. Most have a larger pattern with smooth bottoms. Not marked. Tested 925. I am not sure if it is vintage nor antique. Sure looks antique to me.

Measures 1-7/8" high; top opening - 1-3/4". Weight - 37.5gr. Now that is a lot of thimble!

There are a few dings and scars but that adds character, right? The top is slightly out of round. You know someone threw back some shots with this piece. Oh, the stories it could tell.

A wonderful gift for thimble or shot collector or anyone who loves the unusual. I would use it to hold trinkets or tiny wild flowers. Be creative!
