Vintage Asian Paper Dolls with Silk Clothing and Faces

These four Asian paper dolls are so interesting that I just couldn't resist them. The tallest measures 10 ½ inches and the shortest is 8 ½ inches. They are dressed in their original silk clothing with cardboard backing. The faces appear to be printed on silk but some may be hand painted. I just cannot tell. I think these would be so interesting when decorating in a chinoiserie style. I also think they were would fun to display with other Asian dolls and even some little Door of Hope Wooden people. I believe they were probably created in the 1920s-1930s period.
