Bahr & Proschild German Bisque Character Baby

This 9 inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, was sold by the German firm of Bahr & Proschild. The doll has bisque socket head and a five piece bent limb composition baby body. The head has blue set eyes, an open mouth with two upper teeth, and the original brunette human hair wig. The baby wears white cotton underclothing and an antique white cotton christening dress and lace bonnet. The head is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The body retains its original finish. This petite little baby has the most wonderful face. The mouth, nose, and chubby cheeks have such great character appeal. My photos just don't capture the charm of the facial modeling.
