Simon & Halbig German Bisque Head Doll

This 22 inch tall doll, circa 1900, was created by the German firm of Simon & Halbig. The doll has blue glass sleep eyes and an open mouth with teeth. The bisque head in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is incised, "570//Germany//HALBIG//S&H." The original finish ball jointed body retains the red Heinrich Handwerck Germany stamp. The 570 mold is popular because the doll, rather than being a typical dolly face, almost has a character expression. For those who like to add their own creative touches to a doll, this is the young lady for you.
