This 16 inch tall doll, circa the late 19th century, has a bisque socket head, blue glass set eyes, and an open mouth with teeth. She has a composition straight wrist body with some chipping of the paint on the hands. Her wonderful costume is original including leather shoes and a darling white bonnet. The clothing appears to never have been removed from the doll except for the shoes and socks. The only clothing that I think might have been replaced is her pair of socks. The doll's head is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The back of the head is incised with the number "0" but I don't see any other markings. The French human hair wig is an appropriate replacement that has been on the doll for a number of years. The costume absolutely makes this doll a real charmer.
