Averill Cloth Doll "Sweets" Designed by Maude Tausey Fangel

This 13 inch tall cloth doll was manufactured by Averill in 1938 and was based on the illustrations of Maude Tausey Fangel. She is named "Sweets." The doll is all cloth with a flat cloth printed face. She wears her original pink organdy outfit with white cotton underclothing. The doll is in very good condition with some age discoloration to the body fabric. The costume is in excellent condition with the original crisp sizing. I just love these Maude Tausey Fangel babies with beautiful big eyes, long eyelashes, and endearing expressions.
