These three all bisque dolls, circa the late 1800s or early 1900s, are small inexpensive German creations. The largest is 2 ½ inches tall with jointed arms and stiff legs. The next one is 2 ¼ inches tall with jointed arms and legs. The last is in a sitting position and measures 1 ¼ inches. These dolls supposedly sold for a penny and so were nicknamed penny dolls. I like to use them as little dolls and babies for my larger dolls or they are great in a doll house. While these are simply and rather crudely produced, I do no see any breakage or damage to them.
