This large 30 inch tall doll was created by Vermont doll artist Jean Rousse in 1988. The doll is cloth with and an oil cloth painted head that is an excellent interpretation of an early primitive cloth doll of the 1800s. The doll has painted facial features and hair. Her cloth body is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She is dressed in an antique costume of white cotton with lace and eyelet trim. I would be happy to place her in a grouping of antique cloth dolls as she would complement them and fit in with their antique appeal.
