Cloth Topsy Turvy Doll with Embroidered Faces
This 13 inch tall doll, circa the late 19th century, has one white head and one black head. Both heads have embroidered facial features. The white head has no hair while the black head has the remnants of black French knots for hair. The doll is in good sturdy clean condition. The black doll wears a red cotton dress with lace collar while the white doll has a cotton print dress with a lace collar. The white doll's head and upper torso are off white cotton fabric. The black doll's head and torso are created from black cotton sateen type fabric. This is a great early topsy turvy with folk art charm.
