Probably from the 1950s and beautifully embroidered in primary colors with other colors as well on gorgeous linen, this is a cheerfully bright square tablecloth perfect for breakfast, lunch, or tea, with 6 matching napkins. It will cheer up a table, not to mention a room, in a minute. The hand embroidered pieces are beautifully done with flowers, leaves and berries and a gloriously designed basket of flowers in the center. What I especially like is the embroidery thread added to the fringe to bring all the colors together. It really is lovely and a great job of hand work. What I just noticed is that there is a grape on one of the napkins and it's not on the others. Funny, I never noticed that before so I took a photo of it for you. You can either leave the set as it, or maybe grab some embroidery thread and finish the others. Take a look at the photos.
The tablecloth is a 34" square, perfect for the center of the table, and the 6 napkins measure 7 1/2" X 7" each. Measurements include the fringe. It has never been used so the condition is excellent. Thanks for your visit!
