Georgian Paste Silver & Gold Pendents Earrings

We are pleased to offer this lovely pair of antique earrings dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800. The earrings are a pendent style; long and suspended from a floral screw back mounting. The center stone is a beautiful faceted blue paste, similar in color to a blue topaz. There are 12 single cut diamonds in closed back tear drop shapes set in the silver surrounding the center stone. The silver part of the mounting has it's original dark patina which we have not attempted to polish. The two rims around the center stone and outer edge are accented in gold and the entire back of the mounting is also gold.

We believe these earrings were made from two bracelet links some time ago. Please take a moment to examine the photographs to draw your own conclusions.

Dimensions: 1 5/8" long by 3/4" wide.

Condition: As already mentioned these earrings have been altered and may have been parts to a bracelet or perhaps a necklace. The earring tops are replacements, however they are in keeping with the style of these earrings. There are two single cut diamonds missing, visible under a jewelers loupe and not noticeable to the naked eye. The center paste does show some facet juncture wear, again only visible under a jewelers loupe. Even with these changes they are an exquisite pair of Georgian earrings.

Marks: The earring tops are stamped 14K and the earrings have been acid tested at 14K and silver.
