Schreiner Ruffle Brooch / Pin / Pendant - Pretty in Pink

This beautiful Schreiner ruffle pin can also be worn as a pendant by means of a hook provided on the back, multiplying its versatility and beauty... so hang it from a chain or ribbon, add a bail, or even clip it onto a strand of pearls or crystal beads... simply fabu!

This particular Schreiner ruffle brooch is a symphony of pinks. The large center prong-set high cabochon displays an internal marbleized milky swirl, its height and the three dimensional construction of the brooch itself helping it to catch the light as if glowing from within. This focal stone is surrounded by small pink rhinestones, and then the trademark Schreiner keystones in two alternating sizes which are set in the Schreiner style, upside down with open backs. There are salmon undertones and sparkles galore. Unsigned as most Schreiner ruffle brooches were, but unmistakably Schreiner. Measures 2 5/8" x 2 3/8", and approximately 1 1/4" tall not including the clasp, or 1 1/2" including the clasp.

This is a vintage piece, it is in excellent vintage condition, worn and loved by a previous owner with a couple of small scratches on the gold backing of the central stone which you can just see when you look inside the back carefully, they look as if they might be a mark put on by a previous collector and I had to take several photographs to get them to catch the light. There is also a rough corner on one of the keystones that you can feel with your nail if you know which one it is, I cannot see it without a loupe, even in the picture of the front of the piece which is larger than life size, where it is somewhere around 4:00 or 5:00 o'clock.

This is a stunner of a brooch, the symphony of pinks is just outstanding. I had it on recently fastening a black and white striped summer weight cotton kimono jacket and a woman at the bar in the restaurant we were at actually reached out to touch it... buy it before I change my mind... lol
