A large, beautiful Native American Indian ring, sterling silver set with deep red coral. A beautiful piece that looks great on the hand.
Coral has been worn in many cultures as a protective amulet, and was often given to children and babies. There are many teething rattles with coral stems, and a coral bead necklace was often worn by children in the 18th and 19th C US.
CONDITION is very nice. I have not polished this piece since the line between tarnish and patina is a personal one. Signed by the maker "K Jones," and marked "Sterling." The oval front of the ring measures 1 1/4" x 2 1/16".
A fine piece to add to a collection of Native American jewelry. This ring is easy to wear despite its size, and will certainly be noticed. Enjoy!
