Absolutely the Best Silk Garters - Chiffon Roses and Metallic Trim

The lovely rosettes are large and composed of many elements, lace, chiffon puffs, tiny ribbon roses, and decorative braided trim that includes a thin metallic cord. But perhaps the best thing about these beauties is the luscious silk ribbon, pink on one side and yellow on the other... fantastic, and nothing can compare to the soft, lovely sheen of fine silk ribbon.

These garters close with a metal snap set onto a fitting that I would guess is celluloid. The snap is marked "Made in Germany" on one side, and "C. S." with some stars and dots on the other, but that may just be an indication of the country the snap was imported from, I'm not sure.

There is no elastic here, and the ribbons are sewn, with tiny, perfect hand stitches, onto a celluloid buckle that allows the ribbon to adjust from about 17" to somewhere around 32". If your leg is smaller than 17", it would certainly be possible to have the ribbon shortened.

CONDITION is wonderful. There is one ecru chiffon puff that is shredding a bit (see if you can find it, even in the close-ups), one tiny pinpoint spot on the ribbon that I noticed only in the photos, and the lace has some minor color variations that really don't show. They are in remarkable condition, really.

So if there's a wedding in your future, or you know a bride who loves vintage, look no further. Every bride deserves the best.
