Early 19th C Leather Document Box W/ Decorative Nails - Primitive
This wonderful leather box is covered with decorative nail trim. The hand fashioned key plate and hinge are attached with handmade nails and hand-cut screws. The inside is covered in beautifully marbled paper. And the original leather hinges are still intact.
Condition is better than most, with less than expected wear for an honest 200 year old piece. Measures 8" x 4 3/8" x 3 1/4" tall.
A fabulous decorative accent piece. Tuck away some of that really private correspondence. Put it in a truly special place.
