Antique English Flowered Transferware China Sink

A beautiful classic shape, the designs are idiosyncratic and unlike anything you're likely to find on the market today, deep red with hand painted underglaze colors. There's a leaf shaped, molded soap dish on each side, and hanging holes are provided. This sink is built for wall mounted fixtures, which makes it most versatile. Just sensational.

I visited a home in London once where the guest bath had a lovely Victorian china bowl with transfers like this. I was just transfixed... so lovely, the height of refined elegance.

Condition is grand. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs. Simply incredible that it has survived the years intact. Some overall expected crazing, and a bit of darkening that can be professionally cleaned should you wish, but this piece is so perfect I would leave it as a testament to its long life. Measures 19" wide, and projects 10 3/8" from the wall. The oval depression that constitutes the bowl measures 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" at the top, and 5" deep at the inside center. Please check these measurements to make sure this fabulous piece will work for you, it is not a standard size, and while that's part of it's charm, it does need to be appropriate for your application. Late 19th C or early 20th C.
