Big, bold, beautiful links, drenched in vibrant, glowing color... WOW... these are knockouts! Fabulous Mid-Century cufflinks by Norwegian silversmith Oystein Balle. If you've been longing for a pair of cuffs a bit out of the ordinary, your search is over, you've arrived.
The color is a deep, saturated hue of green that's leaning toward turquoise. A perfect foil for the russets of autumn, an antidote for the grays and black of winter, a match for navy and springtime pastels, and bright enough to hold it's own next to the full blown riotous colors of summer... guess you could call them 'four season cufflinks'.
The amorphous, slightly contoured enamel designs add a touch of organic earthiness to the sleek silver shapes, as does a subtle textured pattern on the underlying silver. These links display a surprising depth, and are appropriate for either a lady or gent. Very appealing.
Condition is grand with no problems to report. The sterling silver wears the warm glow of it's 50 or so years very nicely, although these babies could be given a higher polish if you choose... up to you. The enameled discs measure 1 1/16" in diameter, with the sleek, curved silver slices that anchor them to your cuff measuring in at 1 5/32" long, a bit larger than your plain vanilla links. Marked on the back "BALLE 925S Norway Sterling"
Dramatic and quite striking, these beauties would make a fantastic gift... and all the better if you give them to someone who'll share. A must-have for the well dressed 'him' or 'her' who's looking to make a bit of a statement.
Your cufflinks will arrive suitably boxed for gifting.
