Greenback Smoking Tobacco Chromo-Heliograph General Store Hanging Ad - "My Ole Man" - Advertising - Naive - Primitive - Drug Store - Marburg Bros.

The image here is entitled "My Ole Man," and pictures two old timers in bed, complete with night caps. A humorous look at life and love. I'm not really sure what it had to do with Greenback tobacco, but there you are.

There is also a great frog on the pictured package of tobacco, a lucky emblem, and likely the Greenback Tobacco logo. Presumably this brand got its name from his green back.

Condition is good, with some edge wear and one small loss to a corner. The image is clear and bright, and stated to be a "Chromo-Heliograph" on the reverse. It is on heavy card stock with two original hanging perforations and its old string. Measures 7 3/4" x 12 1/2".

This is a great old piece with oodles of quirky charm.
