Pair of Royal Worcester Mer-Baby Compotes or Salts - Bone China - Mermaid - Shell - Oyster
A true pair, facing in opposite directions with slightly different poses. The details are exacting, their wave-swept hair, tiny fingers and scales, the dancing waves... all are simply perfect.
Condition is great with no after market problems to report. There is something I can feel with my nail on the edge of one shell, but under a loupe you can see it happened in the manufacture, and is glazed over. These lovely Royal Worcester dishes are made of "Bone China" and the marks date them precisely to 1958. Each approximately 3 3/4" tall, with the bases measuring 4 1/2" x 3 1/4".
Perfect to hold some Sel de Mer, or perhaps a few olives. Also a natural in the bath for a few pearly bath beads or a small soap. They are stunning and will make you smile for years to come.
