19th C American Lithograph of Mary Queen of Scots
Printed by "W. C. Robertson, 59 Cedar St. NY." (lower right), and published by "Thomas Kelly 35 Bowery, N. Y." (lower left). Originally signed in the plate by the artist Lucian Gray, and inscribed at the center below the image "Entered according to an Act of Congress by Lucian Gray in the year 1839 in the Clerks Office, South'en Dis't of NY" (the date is possibly 1859, I can't be sure since there is a flaw in the impression).
The frame looks to be 20th C, and the print shows a few small edge rips that were likely acquired before it was framed. There is a very minor amount of foxing, which you can see in the photographs, particularly on the bottom, but really nothing that distracts from the beauty of this historic piece. Overall measurements are 22¼" x 28½".
