Ray Tracey ~ Sterling Silver ~ Black and White Inlay Necklace ~ Book Piece

Here's a Large, Chunky, Sterling Silver Necklace designed by World Famous Navajo Artisan, Ray Tracey. Mr Tracey has retired from jewelry design, and has gone into the entertainment business. He leaves behind a legacy of incredible jewelry. This Dynamic Necklace is one of them. Accented by chunky, 3-dimensional square beads, and traditional round beads, is a Boxy, Showcase Pendant featuring lustrous Mother of Pearl, and jet black Jet. This Necklace is a Wonderful Show Piece, designed by a World Acclaimed Artist, and signed with his hallmark.

This Incredible Necklace is approximately 23" long. The Central Inlay Pendant is 1" x 1" x ½" deep. The square beads are ½" x ½" x ½". The long, graceful Sterling Cones are over 4" long. It weighs 83 grams, about 2 2/3 oz.

Condition is Vintage Excellent. One of the cones has a couple of small, shallow dimples. They are located in an area that is next to the skin, and invisible to the eye when worn.

The Necklace is featured in Nancy Schiffer's "Evolving Southwest Indian Jewelry" on page 238. The materials used in the pendant portion are different.
