HORSE Cast Iron Vintage Still Bank
Collectible "Still Bank" [rather than mechanical, with moving parts] of a Horse circa 1920s-30s. Measures approximately 4" high X 4 1/2" long; 2 3/4" to the top of the slot where you insert the coins.Original black paint, showing wear and some rust, with original turnpin on side. The mold has seams that fit well, very tight [see photos] to show it is an old bank, rather than a later reproduction, where the seams are sloppy and have wide gaps. There are some pale lines/light surface scratch marks on one side--see photos--I have never tried to remove. I have owned this bank for almost 50 years. Weighs approx. 10 ounces.
