Late 19th Century Victorian Brass Inkwell with 3 Different Pattern Designs, typical of the Aesthetic Movement circa 1880s-90s. Measures approximately 4 1/2" round, 3" high. Crisp, almost Moorish Design on top, then a gadrooned edge and leaf border on the base, all in raised relief. It is "peaned" -- see photos -- rather than screwed in to the base which is an earlier method. Hinge works, great patina. Top cover "snaps" shut if you apply pressure to close it tightly.
