Antique sterling reverse painted glass Peacock pin enamel frame

Antique sterling silver pin. The pin measures 2 5/8" in diameter. It weighs 30.7 grams. The front of the pin has a sterling frame with applied cannetille work. The center of the pin measures 1 3/4" in diameter. I purchased this as a piece of enamel but when I got home and looked at this with a magnifier I realized that this is not an all over enamel design. Actually only the outer opaque blue line is enamel work. The peacock is reverse painted on glass over a background that looks like fine silvery white embroidery. The glass is bezel set onto the pin. I do not know what the background is, it could be embossed fabric, it is hard to tell under the glass. The reverse of the pin is signed sterling. The pin has a roll over clasp. The clasp may be a replacement, I am not sure. If it is a replacement it was well done. This is a very unusual piece, a must for the peacock collector.
