Antique painting depicting the Mother of God holding the little Jesus. The Mother of God wears a beautiful blue garment while the little Jesus has a red garment which makes a beautiful contrast. Evidently the painting was crafted in a monastery because the Holy Virgin and the Christ child are decorated with seed pearls and little silk bows. The background is crafted in gold leaf. The painting is crafted tempera on canvas and mounted on a wooden board. The painting is set in an original wooden gilded frame and had a glass for protection.
